Everyone that travels with Down Under Sports is required to have health and accident insurance that provides international coverage—Australia—and out-of-state coverage—Hawaii. Because not everyone has this type of insurance coverage we offer a BASIC TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN for $199 that is automatically added to everyone’s account when they sign up. This does not mean you have to purchase the insurance, you may decline the protection plan at any time but it must be done in writing at the same time you provide proof of coverage from your insurance provider including: name of provider, policy number and the name of the policy holder or via email to sherrie@downundersports.com. Please note that the protection plan can still be purchased as a secondary insurance to provide additional coverage such as deductibles; you will still need to submit your primary insurance information to Down Under Sports.

If you are purchasing the Basic Travel Protection Plan (see brochure for full details), then we’d like to remind you of the benefit of purchasing it within 2 weeks of paying your deposit: CANCEL FOR ANY REASON coverage + PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS waiver. These benefits do not cost extra but are ONLY included if the protection plan is paid in full within 2 weeks of submitting your $300 deposit to Down Under Sports. The due date to get the cancel for any reason and pre-existing conditions waiver is in the box at the top of your account statement. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking advantage of these benefits provided by the insurance company by making your $199 Basic Travel Protection Plan payment within two weeks of signing up. To help everyone out, any payments received after the deposit will first be used to pay for the protection plan—unless it has been declined.
